Our Philiosophy on Breeding...
Our thoughts on breeding hores is simple... it costs just as much to feed a GOOD horse as it does a bad horse. We have searched all over and have built our budding breeding program over time, waiting for the right horses to come along- the best we can afford. Now that we have the right stallions, we can offer the value and quality to you.
We belive we have found some great stallions and terrifc mares. Our mares are bred to be BREEDING animals, with the qualities in conformation, type and pedigree one wants in a breeding animal. The same can be said of our stallions. While we enjoy color- it is certainly not the only thing we breed for. Here is a list of our main criteria...
- The animal needs to have a good, honest and intelligent disposition.
- The animal should be balanced with excellent legs and motion
- The animal should have obvious breed type and gender type.
- The animal should be breath-taking to behold by anyone.
- The animal HAS to ENJOY people!
- The animal needs to be trainable
- The animal should have a pedigree worthy of reproducing
- The animal should have conformation that is worth reproducing, with the goal of the next generation being better than the last.
- And yes, COLOR! Color is the icing on the cake that makes a gerat horse- incredible.
Our belief is that a breeding progrma should always be evolving moving forward, each crop of foals better than the last. Bloodstock replenished from time to time with better stock, outcrossed pedigrees and even higher quality. Start with the best you can afford and move up as your breeding program progresses.
When searching for the horse of your dreams, it can get to be discouraging. High purchase prices, stud fees & high payments and other such demands... make buying/breeding your dream horse very hard.
We have searched to find high quality breeding stallions that were affordable to us- but also to be able to offer them AFFORDABLY to our customers. Our breeding stallions offer the highest quality with regards to bloodlines, pre-potency, confirmation, disposition, intelligence and even COLOR!
While we don't breed for just color- it is certainly something we enjoy. In today's equine market, color is as much a part of the decision as any other factor- and is often the deciding factor! We certainly haven't ignored this fact.
